Recently coming off producing and editing the feature documentary “Sunshine Superman” as well as working on Amazon’s new series “The New Yorker Presents”, Eric Bruggemann has been active in the documentary, television and film worlds for years. He has edited four projects for Alex Gibney. The projects include “NRDC: Laws of Nature,” “Taxi to the Dark Side” (which just received an Academy Award for Best Documentary), “Behind Those Eyes,” a feature doc about 3 Doors Down, and “Away from the Sun,” a 3 Doors Down concert film. He edited “Video Free Europe,” a feature doc about R.E.M. and “3 Nights Live,” a feature doc about Ryan Adams, both directed by Dominic DeJoseph. Eric also cut two seasons of Sundance Channel’s “Iconoclasts,” directed by Joe Berlinger.
The short comedy/documentary “Johnny Berlin” is a recent collaboration between Dominic and Eric. Having completed a successful festival run, the film is currently airing on the Documentary Channel. Eric edited the feature film “Woodpecker,” which had its world premiere at the SXSW Film Festival. Eric’s spot work includes broadcast campaigns for Levis, NASCAR, DeBeers, and Citizen Watch. Eric has also edited music videos for Rufus Wainwright, Natalie Cole, Gladys Knight, Tilly and the Wall, The Stills, Ryan Adams, and Counterclockwise.
